The main goal of this project was to integrate the concepts of materiality and comfort.
The client wanted to use raw materials to give the space a strong personality, without compromising the feeling of coziness.
To achieve this, the design combined several raw elements such as polished concrete, microcement, raw metal sheeting, and rustic oak wood. These materials are most prominent in the entrance area and the social spaces.
In the more private areas, rustic oak wood flooring was paired with colorful wall finishes to create a warmer and more playful atmosphere — particularly in the daughters' bedrooms and the guest room, which also doubles as a playroom. The herringbone flooring, contrasted with the color and texture of the walls, gives the space a sense of rhythm. A similar effect is achieved in the bathrooms, though here the feeling arises from the combination of small-format ceramic tiles and natural stone terrazzo wainscoting.
Through the use of a carefully balanced mix of raw materials, the result aligned with the client's vision, bringing personality and comfort to the apartment.
