The project for Casa Fraião had as its main goal to benefit from privileged views without sacrificing privacy. Therefore, the residence is developed on two floors, with a central body to accommodate the social area and two lateral wings in the shape of a "V" for the private functions, opening the house to the cityscape.
The house is situated on sloping terrain, so the entrance is at street level, with a lower floor where the living room connects with the garden and the pool.
On the porch of the main entrance, there is a large window that allows to see inside the house, including the living room on the lower floor and the view over the city.
A standout feature inside the house is the scenic staircase, in the shape of a half-moon, that connects the two floors.
A garagem foi pensada para acolher alguns dos carros da vasta coleção do cliente. Este espaço é envidraçado para o interior da área social da habitação, criando uma área de exposição.
The garage was designed to accommodate some of the client's extensive car collection. This space is glazed towards the interior of the social part of the house, creating an exhibition area. Materials were chosen with low maintenance and high durability in mind. The volumetric base is concrete, with horizontal wooden slats, contrasting with the wood tones used as the negative of the raw concrete volume.
All spaces were constructed to create a comfortable environment that evokes emotions as they are traversed, providing new points of interest at every turn.
