Empreendimento Pátios D’Este is a housing estate consisting of 14 rowhouses, distributed on both sides of a street.

The project aims to take advantage of the privileged view of Bom Jesus, opening the houses to the landscape of the mountain while also shielding them, deconstructing the typical rowhouse image

To achieve this effect, the ground floor becomes a base covered in black slate with no openings facing the street, where the bedrooms are located.

In order to evoke an individual housing typology, the base was painted white and adorned with vertical wooden cladding, along with the absence of walls in front of the lots. The construction was designed to maximize a more private area with better sunlight exposure in the backyard of each lot.

The interior comprises two courtyards that fill the entrance hall with light and the stairwell area that connects the two floors. hall de entrada e a zona das escadas que ligam os dois pisos.

The perimeter of the housing estate is enclosed by a granite wall from the region, framing the entire complex and harmonizing it with the memory of the rural identity of its context.
